Dragon Ball fans went crazy with the announcement and teaser trailer for the upcoming movie titled Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The first official trailer has been released at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 and let’s just say, it doesn’t disappoint!
The entire story has been done by creator Akira Toriyama who will give Broly a proper introduction into the Canon story of Dragon Ball Super. Because of Broly’s popularity, especially since he was given three movies, you can look at this new movie as a reboot of the character. As you will see in the trailer, certain scenes have been taken from the 1st non-canon Broly movie and reworked into a much cleaner version.
In the trailer you will see Broly face off against both Goku and Vegeta who are constantly testing their strength. We get an appearance from the evil emperor himself, Frieza who also confronts Broly to see if his Golden Form is enough to kill the Legendary Super Saiyan.
It is unknown how this movie will end, we can only speculate. Will Goku be able to unleash his Ultra Instinct limit breaker form or will he use a new version of the Dragon Fist, which defeated Broly in the first movie. Broly will be a serious test for our Z warriors, especially since he will be fighting in his berserk form and continue to grow in power as the fight continues.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly will be released in theaters in Japan first on December 14, 2018. The american release you can expect sometime in January 2019.
